Another piece exploring the sensuality of the female body and stereotypes in our society. Note that the title is not “Heart Shaped Butt”, but rather, “Heart Shaped, But” as is “sure her derriere is heart shaped, but her personality is awful…and she has thick angles”. The piece reminds us that beauty is superficial and as pretty as it looks, it is unrealistic and not something to strive for. It is what’s inside that counts.
Wood is finished and sealed in shellac. Mounted in a picture frame with double conservation mat boards. Ready to hang.
