Picasso is a huge influence and inspiration for my Bent Wood Line Art. This classic and famous image, when translated means “pieces of a woman’s body”, was the very first image I attempted to recreate in the Bent Wood Line Art form. The success of this picture inspired me to create two other Picasso images, and gave me the confidence to explore my own voice in the minimalist genre of this art form. I love this piece. Never before have four simple lines been proportioned so perfectly to express the beauty, the sensuality, and the complexity of the female form. The liberal use of white space in this representation is used to emphasize the simplicity and elegance of the shapes.

Wood is finished and sealed in shellac. Mounted in a picture frame with double conservation mat boards.  Ready to hang.
