This piece was my second attempt at making original art. Turning up the passion with both a female and male presence – each represented by a different species of wood, one dark, one light…hence the title of Salt and Pepper. The intention of the work is to convey young love and a reminder that youth is wasted on the young. It reminds us to love life and all that it has to offer.
Wood is finished and sealed in shellac. Mounted in a picture frame with double conservation mat boards. Ready to hang.
